i’m using the RSS feed to watch the show; of course not live. I noticed the quality in this second one is significantly less than the first, but thankfully the aspect ratio is correct. I understand that 927MB for a download size is abit much, but can there be a middle ground found between episode 1 and 2’s bitrate quality.

    1 – 1.2mbps
    2 – 330kbps

maybe somewhere in the 700 range. i’m hoping to watch it on my LCD TV and 330 does not look good @ all IMO. Thanks alot and I enjoy the show!

Would it be possible to post the blip.tv source video file (.mp4) link with each episode post? e.g. http://blip.tv/file/get/Thisweekinstartups-ThisWeekInStartupsEp02WithSethSternberg603.mp4

    Hey Jason,

You made a comment about Chris Hughes, questioning his legitimacy and track record, etc. There was actually a pretty interesting article in Fast Company about Chris and how he helped Barack win the Presidency. He’s on the cover of April’s issue of Fast Company.

Here’s his Wikipedia entry for a little bit more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Hughes_(Facebook)

    @Kyle, @Mango:

We already have audio only downloads available. Check out the “Feeds” section on the right hand side of the main page – there you can subscribe either via RSS or iTunes.

@AaronP – As you may have guessed, finding a bit-rate that appeals to everyone is a bit tricky, we’re playing with a couple different options and will definitely look at increasing it some. Thanks for the feedback!

At SxSW I remembered seeing the meebo signs in each session, core conversation, etc… but I never waded over into it. This exposure on TWiST prompted me to log in for the first time to meebo in a long time. Why aren’t the rooms more prominently displayed and advertised on meebo.com?

Also when I signed on today — wow. Major UI improvements since I was last on meebo.com for the IM aggregation side.

So — CEO’s take note… I’m one of those very hard to reach and hard to sell types… and this one interview has sold me.

  9. I enjoyed this episode! Learned so much about VC’s and inverstor relations. Infact, under estimated meebo until this point. I recently implemented meebo on my webpage and write an article how meebo could help you in your business startup. Visit it here http://mustafayusuf.com/blogg/2009/5/13/meebo-an-asset-to-your-startup.html

Can we get a better video player: one you can scrub?

I listened to 1/2 the podcast in my car and I was going to listen to the rest on this website but I can scrub the player to the right point.

I think this is the best show so far. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to helping out the little guys.

Hi. Not sure if you realise, but the RSS for the audio-only version of TWIST is broken for Episode 2. In Juice, it appears twice, but neither of them will download. Though the mp3 location appears to be correct, and can be downloaded manually.

Also, I can’t see the point of repeating “Thisweekinstartups” twice at the start of every mp3 filename, and it makes it hard to work with on some mp3 players.

But content wide, other than some audio level problems (use levelator) its great work – insightful stuff.

    Jason,
Great idea. And, this show was very good.

I picked up some good nuggets that are buried in the show that I wanted to share with others, though, and discovered an issue when I tried to distribute these pearls to others… so, here is a suggestion or a request:

It would be nice if you posted your vids on youtube or used a video service that allowed you to jump to different parts of the video with less effort / less waiting. For example, near minute 29 I noted that there is some info I wanted to share with a co-worker. Unfortunately, I had to wait like 10 minutes until the video had loaded enough for me to jump to minute 29.

There is no way to fast forward until the stream has loaded that section. Toutube, as an example, allows you to jump to a segment in the video regardless…. very handy.

    Just a thought.

Many thanks (and great show, thanks for doing it).

    Mike Allen

I can’t download the audio of this episode since it’s not in the feed!

You should put the mp3 link in ALL posts.
