Hmm … you can’t watch at blip.tv – just ep 10. You guys always post the live too – which shows ep 1 after live is over – so the site is just confusing half the time. Come on, get it together ;)

  2. Is it just me, or is the audio feed not working? iTunes is timing out trying to update the podcast, and the player on this page says “File not found”. I need my TWiST!

  3. Mark says:

Finally found it – the proper instructions:

goto the blip.tv link. It will take you to ep 10 and in the right bar you will see all the eps up to 10, but not 11. Click Episode Archives. Then you will see it.

    Thanks.

I don’t know if you intended this but the player in the post only plays for about 3 minutes (for me currently at least). It’s as if the file is only 3 minutes long.

(btw, Episode 10 was my first listen. It was very good! I’m looking forward to hearing more)

Hello! Would love to listen to the show, but it seems that something’s up with the audio RSS feed in iTunes and here on your blog :( Totally hooked, have listened to all the shows and would love to listen to this one!

Have a baby, and don’t have the luxury to download and watch the video…Help a stay at home mommy out :)

  7. Bjartn says:

The audio feed is still not working :( How can I get to work without it ?

  8. The only problem I can find with the show is that its the Sydney Harbour Bridge not the Sydney Bay Bridge (or what ever you call it). ;-)

    Love the show though!

PS. Yes you have to come to Melbourne next time your in Australia! Come during Aussie Rules season and I will take you to a game! It will spoil every other sport for you!

Great episode guys. The “insights from Tyler” jingle is still stuck in my head and is annoying me. Does that mean it’s really good?

And don’t get dragged to AFL game when in Oz next time. What you want to do is go to a V8 supercars race :-) Much more exciting I think.

Love the “Sydney Bay Bridge”. It’s almost like it should be painted red with name.

  10. I enjoyed the show, gentleman.

Can you kindly tell me where can I submit questions for the show?

(In case the answer is to simply drop questions as comments to past shows…)

I am starting two ventures in the digital entertainment space, and I have a few other ideas that are starting to keep me up at night. I realize that starting multiple ventures at once goes against a rule of thumb employed by many entrepreneurs and venture investors: pick a venture, put blinders on, keep your head down and execute. (Or something to that effect.)

I find it highly difficult to work exclusively on one venture. I really like the idea of using a studio production company structure, whereby my company will have multiple properties under one roof, each separately financed but all sharing certain common company resources.

Of course, the studio structure has existed for decades in the TV & film business, but it is increasingly being used by shops that produce multiple digital content products. (Think LOLcats, Particle and, the big kahuna, AOL’s Media Glow. And this is not to mention blog networks, app development shops and casual gaming companies like Zynga, all of which have multiple titles.)

What’s your take? Does the long tail allow us the luxury of working on a large set of smaller products, or is the real opportunity in the ol’ raise-ten-million-bucks,-put-your-&%$#ing-head-down-and-build-ONE-web-product approach?

  11. Thanks for the heads up on The Cluetrain Manifesto. Quite a read. Thanks for the show!

  12. Very inspiring show. The perspective of the need for the feeling of progress to drive a company really struck a chord with me. This has easily become my most anticipated, weekly podcast.

Let me make a couple suggestions:

    * NORMALIZE, PLEASE! Listening to this in my car going between the talking and the Tyler jingle gives my eardrums quite the beating.
    * Give Tyler a mic! I can barely hear his valuable insights and by the time I crank the volume up the insight is over and my whole neighborhood is wondering who this screaming Jason guy is.
    * Not really a suggestion but an observation: Audible won’t buy the cow if they’re getting the milk for free.

  14. With regards to Open Table, and Jason’s comments on it, “that he says that value more for the restaurants then the users.”   Next to dictionary.com, it’s one of my favorite websites.  I use it as an aggregator of restaurants, links to each restaurants website, menu, map etc etc.   When you find something that you want, a click and you have the reservation. Done.   The value add with Open Table is that it only shows me restaurants that have availability.   I don’t want to call a restaurant that doesn’t have an opening.  It’s a waste of time.   Granted, I’m using it in San Francisco which is like ground zero for restaurants.  It may completely suck in Atlanta.
