TWiST #14 with Garry Tan

We had a very special (and a bit shorter) episode this week, live from the offices of Sequoia Capital in Menlo Park, CA.  We were up doing the rehearsals with some of  the companies that will present at TechCrunch50 2009, and man, do they look great.  Hope you’ll be there to see the launch of some of the most innovative and exciting companies ever.

Garry Tan, co-founder of Posterous, was nice enough to stop by and chat with Jason for the show.  and as a special “treat”, TechCrunch Editor Mike Arrington decided to also come by for a bit.  Check out the full interview to see everything they talked about.

And thanks to the great response (we’ve already gotten 25 reviews) we decided to extend the review contest.  So keep them coming!

Make sure to tune in next Friday (at a special time 2:00pm PDT) for another special episode – this one featuring Roelof Botha from Sequoia Capital.  He and Jason will be taking tons of “Ask Jason” and shark tank calls – so if you’d like to be on the show, e-mail us at contact [at] thisweekinstartups [dot] com.

    Splendid podcast.

I have a request/suggestion: would you consider making these available as an audio-only download on iTunes? I’m sure the full audio-visual experience is marvelous but the only spare time I really have is in the car, so I just listen to it. The AV files are MASSIVE and take forever to download (and they half-kill my creaky old ipod).

How about it? Might be something useful for other folks too?

  9. [...] 6. Posterous: Every day, I try and share a dozen thoughts, photos or videos, as well as sneak in three or four how to articles or buzzy stories from Mahalo, and Posterous is my go to application for this. I simply take a video or photo of Taurus and Fondue, for example, and email it to post@posterous.com. That video will then be posted to Calacanis.com, my Twitter account, Facebook, Flickr and a half dozen other services. One email, 10 posts. You gotta love it! I’m absolutely in love with this company, and I even interviewed one of the founders on This Week in Startups: http://thisweekinstartups.com/2009/09/twist-episode-14-with-garry-tan/ [...]
