Hey guys thanks for the feedback!

To address some of your concerns.

1. There is a rating system in the works that will be linked to the user profile. The user profile will give you access to forums, comments, ratings, favorites, etc…..

2. Learning songs was always an intention of the site. There are legal areas that need to be sorted through before I can invest money into production of high quality video lessons for specific songs. We are making progress on this and determining our song curriculum. I have some interesting workarounds on this for the meantime.

3. The use of the custom player allows me to embed from any external source. I am planning on using youtube for my video hosting once the site goes live that should fix the slow download rates. If for some reason that does not work out I have be testing various CDN’s and still deciding on the best solution. I really love the new site. It looks great. The videos seem to provide tons of value. One thing though: He is using a custom video player and I guess his files are hosted on his own servers. That makes the videos very slow on my end here in Europe. I guess that’s because there is no CDN being used?

Love the website redesign. Being honest I think the only thing missing is the ability for users to ‘rate’ videos so I can then search by rating.

I wonder if they will follow the advice of ‘how to play song x’. That would just be cool!

No, no and no!! Right now we need to bring professional jobs back to the US so that Americans can go back to work and take care of their families!

I say NO to H1B visas!! I say NO to L1 visas!! Not right now!! We have enough innovation here in the US, we don’t need to go outside for it! I have many friends and colleagues from Malaysia, India, etc., and it seems they’re doing pretty good on their own. We need some recover time. Not forever, but enough for Americans to get back on their feet!!

In the technical professional arena, the lies about there not being enough tech talent is BS. I say reduce the impact of ANY business lobby in Washington NOW!! Or, perhaps regulate it’s engines.

On the health care front, mixing business with health care is like mixing oil and water. It will never, ever work! You can’t enrich yourself at the expense of peoples lives. That one has to be free for everyone.

I voted for Obama, too. He gets my full support!

Obviously, pro business I’m not.

He isn’t trying to please everyone. Well over half of America doesn’t want his healthcare “reform”. He wants power, and creating jobs doesn’t give him much power, taking over 1/6 of the economy does.

About the founder compensation, it is basically what the founder would do in an average 9 to 5 gig on an annualy basis? i.e. 50k for an entry level engineering job for a first time founder at angel level.

I ask because I was considering the equivalent of minimum wage.

I keep having the same problem, it keeps cutting out at different points – the problem is with the video player, instead of trying and reconnoitering with the video file after a lost connection it just times out and stops buffering. Can you upload it the video to youtube? (or vimeo)

There’s something wrong with the video, Jason mentioned Eagle, the CEO who killed himself and within a minute the video collapsed.
It jumped back to the beginning. I can restart the video but not where it stopped working.

First Round has done a great job nurturing early stage companies and seems to have created the collective components of a “virtual incubator” (job boards, professional services, building communications & synergies between funded companies) to a much greater extent than other VCs. As an early Idealab guy, what does he think about the new incubator models that are evolving, and is there a scalable methodology with public & private funding to drive innovation & job growth in the US by creating incubators attached to funding sources?

Best episode yet, with one major error. Nuclear is never clean, either to acquire, use, or eliminate 500 times normal cancer rate for anyone living near a uranium mine. ALL reactors leak. Please ask about start-ups setting up C-corp in Delaware and giving Class B shares (enhanced voting rights per share – a la Google trio) to founders before fielding offers from outside investors – VC’s or Angels. Will it scare them away or will it secure a better place for the founders from a decision / control / financial point of view.

Gary mentioned that there’s an opportunity to redo online forums. Stack Overflow (www.stackoverflow.com) is the closest so far to redesigning an online forum. It’s a Q&A engine, which is really the format of an online forum. They have a hosted solution called Stack Exchange where people can build their own Q&A site on a different topic. The site is clean and user friendly. It’s much easier to use than standard online forums (phpBB, vBulletin).
