In an appearance on This Week in Startups, Sarah Lacy of PandoDaily responded to criticism that her site published a false report about subscription e-commerce startup Beachmint. The original article claimed the founders were being fired, and cash returned to investors. The founders flatly denied it. The controversy has grown in the past few weeks, but Lacy says Beachmint's Diego Berdakin and Josh Berman have declined her site's repeated requests for comment.
